Functionality:

In good running condition, fully tested and ran prior to removal from a 2005 SLK350 equipped with the automatic transmission. Engine idled smoothly at 900 rpm with no smoking upon startup. Engine revved smoothly with no misfires or hesitations. During testing we did note that the PCV emissions components were seeping oil onto the exhaust manifolds causing some visible smoking. We recommend replacing these PCV valve / hoses prior to use. The vehicle also had a stored CEL code regarding the throttle body / valve actuator during testing. We recommend reusing your existing throttle body for use. Compression tested with good results – (180-180-185 / 185-180-180). The engine had some visible oil leaks / residue from the PCV components on the rear passenger side and both valve covers. We suggest replacing any easy to access gaskets and seals while the engine is removed from the vehicle. Crank pulley spun smoothly with no wobbles or play. Oil and coolant have been drained with no excessive shavings or abnormalities. Ships drained of all fluids.

Physical Condition:

In good physical condition, Engine block has not been hit or cracked in any way. Free of any major surface rusting or corrosion. Includes the engine long block, valve covers, coils, fuel rails, injectors, wiring harness, motor mount brackets, EGR Valve, crank pulley, intake manifold, throttle body, AC compressor, PS pump, and alternator as shown. You will need to reuse some of your existing hardware and components for installation.

Will ONLY fit SLK350 models with the 3.5l V6 engine. Cannot be use for SLK280 or SLK300 models. This may fit other ‘350’ badged Mercedes Benz models. Please do your own research regarding any minor engine components changes for your specific application prior to purchase.
